I’ve been working with Jeff and Debbie for a couple years now. The calves that are selected are always BAR (bright, alert, responsive). They are very good at picking calves that will succeed wherever they end up. If a calf seems off it doesn’t make the trip. The trailer is immaculately clean and well maintained, ensuring that each calf’s first ride is in no way going to impede them from succeeding at their destination. If there are any issues once the calves reach their destination, Jeff and Debbie are always willing to help troubleshoot and reach out to the source farms or vets like me to nail down the cause.
As a veterinarian for Jeff and Debbie dating back to 2000, we have been through many struggles and peaceful times dealing with calves and other cattle. I was a new vet back then. One of the best things we learned together is to never make the same mistake twice. We had a crash course in raising custom calves and judging health. I truly believe it takes several hundred to get good at it. From there they raised a bunch of calves and we learned about records and consistency and calves. I'd never believe we'd seen it all but we saw nearly everything over the years.
They are Intelligent people of good character. That made it easy to work with them. Looking back, even in times of disease and adversity we would turn it around into learning and wisdom. Now we can call each other for advise. It is a pretty good client that will help the vet with advice when he might need it. From buying to selling and sometimes communicating with the client so they understand, Jeff and Debbie have been there for me as much as I have been for them.
My husband and I are third generation dairy farmers who have been running our family farm for the last thirty plus years; we have had the good fortune to be doing business with Full Throttle Farms for the last five years. We have always been a bit particular about who handles our cattle and where they will end up. The Purvis’ made an immediate good impression that has only been strengthened with time. They come in a very timely manner, with extremely clean and well maintained equipment. I have never seen them get angry with recalcitrant animals or lose their patience in any situation. The cattle market has been a volatile thing as of late and yet Jeff and Debra Purvis are cheerfully consistent in their demeanor and concern for the well being of all animals in their charge. We can’t speak highly enough of their professional integrity and would gladly speak to any who have any questions about finding quality animal handlers.
I have been working with Debbie and Jeff for several years and have always appreciated the friendliness and great personalities of them both. They are always honest and upfront with everything!

Full Throttle Farms purchases all of our excess calves. They pick up twice a week, always come with a clean trailer, and most importantly handle the calves with care. Payment is made the day of pick up and the price per head is fair. I would recommend Jeff and Deb to anyone who has calves for sale.
